The 5 Marks of Mission

The Five Marks of Mission

During Easter 2021 we are exploring the 5 Marks of Mission, with the aim of:
• Catching God’s heart for his world and being encouraged to join in his mission.
• Starting a conversation about how each parish can engage in mission, local and beyond
• Building up to the Thy Kingdom Come prayer event (Ascension to Pentecost).

The Five Marks of Mission are:
1.To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
2.To teach, baptise and nurture new believers
3.To respond to human need by loving service
4.To transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation
5.To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth

The topic will be introduced each week in the Sunday sermon and a going deeper session at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening will help us unpack and apply to topic in parish/cluster groups via Zoom. For Zoom login details email revgaryowen@gmail.com
